We’re confident that you will be pleased with your new concrete curbing.
Below are some brief facts and instructions.
Efflorescence (white substance on curb) can appear on occasion after curbing has been installed. This is a naturally occurring process, and intensity can be determined by the hardness of water. If underground irrigation is used within the lawn, we ask that you contact your irrigation contractor to have sprinkler heads adjusted so that the curbing is not directly sprayed. Efflorescence is a natural occurring process of curing concrete and will dissipate once curbing is fully cured.
Sealing of the newly installed landscape curbing is included in the price quoted to you. This will be completed within 10 days once the installation is completed. Sealing of the edging is recommended every 2 years to maintain the vibrancy of the color, but to also protect the curbing from mother nature. Sealing will also protect it from stains such as mud, grease, or spilled liquids.
Your curbing carries a one-year warranty* from the date of installation. This protects the homeowner from defects in materials and workmanship. If it is determined that materials used or workmanship of the crew was unsatisfactory, we always stand behind our work to ensure complete satisfaction. Sealers are not a part of warranty as all sealers are subject to different wear times depending on traffic and elements due to weather.
*Cracks: Curbing is a concrete product and as such can and will crack. If a curbing company guarantees their curb will not crack, they are not telling the truth. There are many factors that can contribute to cracking, such as, inclines, declines, temperature, and extreme angles. Our warrently specically covers cracks 1/4" or more on level ground which would be considered a workmanship fault or material default and will be covered. Any other circumstances will not be covered by the warranty.
If cleaning of the curbing is desired, 50/50 water and vinegar mix with a stiff bristle brush is perfectly safe to use. A hose and nozzle can be used to spray off curbing. We recommend not using pressure washers as this can cause damage and pitting to the sealant on the curbing.
